After a lot of thought and prayers we decided to embrace the opportunity to move to North Carolina for Richard’s work.  The great adventure was on...  The house was packed up and all our possessions (well, except the TV as it wouldn’t work in the USA) were packed into a container for a 4 week trip.

We arrived in NC at the end of July and with a miracle of circumstances managed to move into our new house on August 1st.  We’d love to say it all went smoothly but we scraped in by the skin of our teeth before the credit crisis took hold.  We probably were the last people to get a mortgage without a social security number in the whole of the US!
